Old emails are still there on 3 of my macs, under 3 different email addresses on the domain, using Mac Mail and Thunderbird, and on my wife's iPhone. The account is set up as POP, so no emails should have disappeared. If you want to manually add another email account to Outlook, you may need to use advanced setup. Everything worked fine, except on my iPhone, where old emails from the previous server were all deleted out of my inbox.
